Rezult receives European Technical Assessment (ETA) for CLT panels
Cross-laminated timber (CLT) under the REZULT CLT trademark has received a European Technical Assessment (ETA), which is recognised in every EU member state and across the countries of the European Economic Area. The ETA was issued by the European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA) under Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, on the basis of the harmonised standard EAD 130005-00-0304. It sets out the essential characteristics of the cross-laminated timber, the methods and criteria used to assess performance against those characteristics, and the principles of the applicable production control.
To obtain the ETA, the cross-laminated timber was tested at KIT Campus Transfer GmbH in Germany. The panels passed testing for bending and shear strength both perpendicular to and in the plane of the panel, as well as compression and delamination testing.
Cross-laminated timber is intended for use as a structural or non-structural element in buildings and timber structures. CLT elements are manufactured in accordance with the provisions of this European Technical Assessment, using an automated production process that follows the technical documentation.
